Global audit program for 15 deepwater MODUs, reviewing the effectiveness of Major Accident Hazard risk controls.
Multi-year program of quality assurance audits covering 15 deepwater drilling rigs annually, operating in US Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Australasia, UK, focused on 20+ Safety Case Major Accident Event bowtie risk analyses, evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of preventative and escalation controls, for drilling, marine, transportation, and lifting infrastructure and operations. The audit program achieved enhanced ownership and understanding of Major Accident Hazards and associated Bow Tie analyses amongst rig and Shorebase management teams, highlighting responsibilities, requirements and procedures for critical risk controls and identifying where effectiveness gaps existed so risk control measures could be strengthened.
